Passion Of The Christ made 370 million domestically alone back in 2004. I know the pandemic has shrunk the theatrical audience but if WOM is as crazy as the last one was 20 years ago, then 400 million domestic for the sequel is in play.

A movie that made 120mm in Japan alone, 88% in RT, 83 on metacritic and got a Best Animated Picture nomination at the Oscars is NOT a mixed reception lol The Wind Rises is a fantastic movie btw.

And to think both Sound Of Freedom and Nimona where both Disney properties via the 20th Century Fox purchase rejected by the mouse and now they are both doing great in critical reception, Streaming (Netflix) and especially box office at the same time Indy 5 is flopping. That's a lot of Ls in a week. At least Elemental is having a very nice comeback.

Dune premiered in the middle of the pandemic and with a day-and-date release on HBO Max and it still managed to make 400mm WW. I'd say it did very well considering the circumstances.

Fallout is still the best Mission Impossible by far for one very simple reason: They left the best action sequence for last (Cruise vs Cavill in the mountain). Ghost Protocol and Rouge Nation are great movies but they peaked too early by putting their best scenes either in the very beginning (the air plane scene) or in the middle (the Burj Khalifa scene). I still like all of them though.

What are the chances of Sound Of Freedom taking the top spot this weekend?
