I just looked and not only do I have Smurfs as one of the top grossing films WW, I have it twice...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...idiocy on my part.

I know your "Thursday will be counted" was aimed at evening previews and such, but shouldn't we count Thursday's total? We hashed this out months ago... I just don't remember the result.

Yes but ST opened on a Wed.  And I'm pretty sure that gross is not counted anyway...let me check.

As to your proclamation that Thurs numbers count for Wed openings, you are correct, here is what I wrote:

 

Tell me what films will finish with the 7 best opening weekends domestically. Opening weekends will include any films gross that starts at midnight on Thursday (so this can include a Thursday opening if applicable) and culminates with the Sunday gross. One caveat to this is that if a film changes it's release date, only the gross from Thursday to Sunday will count. So for example, if Iron Man 3 suddenly decides that it wants to open on a Wednesday, only the gross from Thursday to Sunday will count. There will be no exceptions to this.

 

So there is no gross involved, but ST Thurs numbers do count I guess.....this is something I'm going to have to reword again next year.

Both Wolverine and PacRim are pretty much locked to overtake Hangover 3.

So TH3 will stay in the top 10 but TGG will fall out.

True. PacRim will obviously overtake Hangover before the end of the game, but Wolverine may only have enough time to overtake Gatsby.

MOS almost definitely won't, MU will get close but I don't think so, DM2 is locked and is probably making 800M, although this should happen after the game ends.

 

Correction: MU will be making 700M after all. Also, DM2 will make 800M before the end of the game.
