1. Fast & Furious 6 (Universal) NEW [Runs 3,658] PG13

Friday $36.0M, Weekend $89.5M, 4-Day Holiday $110.0M, Cume $114.8M

So... The extra $4.8M for Furious 6? With Thursday's early screenings is it actually at $40.8M OD? Appears similar to Trek's $2.0M estimate for Wednesday last week followed by an $11.5M actual Thursday and $13.5M heading into Friday. If so for Furious 6, it's number's somewhat more impressive than people seem to realize... Not to mention, including the $4.8M from Thursday previews, it did muster the $40M+ OD many hoped for as well.

Hmm. this is from the article:

Universal’s Fast & Furious 6 pulling ahead with $36M Friday (including Thursday late shows and Friday midnights) to target $110M for the holiday weekend

Not sure which is correct

The biggest movie weekend of the year you would think she would take her time and get it right.

Just plain confused now... Glaring contradiction within the article. Does seem odd she'd post two separate totals and, given Into Darkness separated some of Thursday's total, I'm thinking it actually did gross just under $41M Thursday/Friday.

ST2 only separated the 8pm Imax previews.

Well considering the competition and it will make almost 600 overseas its a super duper hit.

I'm expecting a $200M to $225M increase in WW revenue for a WW cumulative approaching $850M. That's big. Likely places it in the Top 5 of 2013 in global box office receipts.

Friday? Where do you see the Friday #?

The Hangover Part 3 continues to disappoint. WB's comedy is on pace for $12 million on Friday. The critically-panned flick should hit around $40 million from Friday-Monday. Negative word of mouth is clearly spreading at a rapid pace.
