Joel Moore just indicated on his Instagram a week ago that production has resumed in New Zealand. I think they are actually working on it right now

EDIT: They are working on something Avatar at least. He didn't specify which sequel. Might just be reshoots for this movie.

"The Seed Bearer"

Is this just the old potential name or is this official now?

I imagine it is still placeholder status, "Kang Dynasty" is also on the picture as well.

Who is brave enough to start the "Avatar 3 won't be the biggest movie of 2025 domestically" club?

I would agree with that if Shrek 5 got announced for 2025, as things stand, what other film is competitive, Zootopia 2? MineCraft?

Yes

I currently see MineCraft doing something like $400M DOM, and Zootopia 2 like $485M (but I want to see what Moana 2 does because I think it's highly indicative). Maybe Zootopia 2 surprises and actually outperforms IO2 domestically, but to me I feel Zootopia is not quite as revered as Inside Out domestically, its fanfare is far more apparaent in China.

What big movies are out in 2025? I see A3 finishing with around 520-550m

More likely Avatar 3 gets kicked to 2026 than Shrek moving to 2025. Good looking animation takes a long time to do.

Me.

I see Minecraft beating it.

Maybe Zootopia 2 or superman based on reception.

Maybe Wicked part 2 based on how the 1st does.

I feel like MINECRAFT is being overhyped.

When Steve was announced for smash bros ultimate as DLC,  twitter broke. This is going to be Mario level big. Minecraft while not being for me as a game is beloved by late stage millennials, boomers and gen alpha.

It is going to be a monster regardless of reception.

Lol, no way superman is beating Avatar3.

At the least this movie is going to make 1.2 billion.

Worldwide no. But a Gunn superman film could absolutely top avatar 3 domestically if it's well received

How much exactly do you think superman "could" gross here? Let's put some numbers on this claim.

550m is the  best case scenario I see if critics and audiences treat it like guardians 3.

I see Avatar 3 dropping off more domestic  best case scenario is 500.

It'll be close.
