Punishment

Weekend Actuals: 8/2-8/4

India's first Superhero sequel "Krrish 3" gets a trailer and posters. This will be huge in 2 months time, easy 100 Crore earner (probably in record time as well). The plot looks like Superman vs. Iron Man though.

  I love those crazy action scenes!

But it doesn't top:

I think may use DF with MU instead since IM3 already had a boost with MU.  But who knows.  Both my benefit.

I would watch both MU and IM3 again if I can find them at a theater near me. Maybe it's just normal theater expansion for IM3 cause I can't find it at my local dollar theaters either.

Not sure though with all these expansion, theater loss deals; cause for example, I read that PR loses IMAX theater, but I still see it show 4 times a day in IMAX at an AMC theater near my workplace. Gonna watch it again tomorrow.

Not even the same language. India doesn't have a single movie industry, almost every state has it's own industry with their own stars. Hindi movies are present in most of North India but every southern state has a movie industry to itself. This one is from a Telugu movie called Allada Majaka.

Looks like IM3 started its dollar theater run as well.

Yes, that's why we see the increase. It added 252 theaters as well.

Not sure why you folks are saying that. It expanded to a few regular theaters, but not to the dollar theaters.

I made the assumption base on the jump in gross and TC. Then I checked and revised my statement a few posts above. I can't find it at any of my local dollar theaters either, so just normal theater expansion I suppose.

There was some dollar theater expansion for IM3, but it hasn't hit all of the dollar theaters yet (i.e. I know it's playing at the cheap theater in Seattle, but not at the one in my town).  I think Disney is rolling it out slowly for some reason.

I liked that one, though it's a bit boring in the middle.

I found the middle to be quite enjoyable.Good story over mindless destruction=win, but to each their own definitions of "vanilla" I suppose. It's the best whole comic book film this summer imo.
