MI:DR crossed 100cr nett mark in india and once again proves this franchisee is on growing trajectory....Fallout ended with 80cr nett...whopping 25% growth...Barbie and Oppenheimer too did really well....great month (July) for hollywood movies in India with back 2 back hits!

Expectations for Gadar 2?

Seems to be getting decent buzz and hype and the first film is an all time blockbuster

I mean it does not have a crazy high budget so it could be a hit. Wont flop.

Will mostly be flat in admits, if not a bit of drop.

Gadar 2 is sure shot Super Hit. Shame the film look crap, could have been Blockbuster with the craze it is showing.

Still somewhat skeptical about the super hit thing because of the paytm 1+1 ticket offer and the holiday frame.

The encouraging part is tho its showing better booking at lesser non-pvr/inox screens (which is exact opposite for Babrenhymen).

Budget is ₹60cr. First day should be ₹25-30cr Nett, 5 days weekend could be ₹100cr itself.

To my best knowledge, none of this includes 3D charges to maintain consistency. Though I am told by Warner Bros that their films include 3D, which I feel doesn't match up with Fast X. It's all a headache, but the general idea.

If GROSS was reported as everywhere, Avatar actual are probably ₹510cr ish and Endgame around ₹490cr ish.

Oppy is currently 14th, will climb to 8th.

Yeah that is the issue with bollywood films these days. They make a crap film with a crazy budget that ironically needs a leggy run to make a return.

Before they made films for cheap and be crap and gets a big opening. If it collapses after it dont matter.

I mean 60Cr is not a crazy budget when you consider satellite/streaming/music rights. It's mid-budget for today's standards. Bollywood movies get most of the revenue from streaming/satellite rights than theatrical. Gadar2 would have recouped most of it's budget from these rights itself

gadar 2 budget is good but some movies look the same with a 200-250 cr budget and become epic flops but make 100cr or so

They didn’t realise it will have such nostalgia value. Made it thinking it will flop. It will be mighty profitable.

most of that 200-250 is going to stars. Here Sunny isn’t a big star anymore.

BTW do you think in Canada Sunny being BJP MP & not supporting farmer protest will hurt the film? In Punjab I feel it is underperforming. When ideally it should be doing crazy numbers.

The original Gadar is biggest hit ever here, it was only crossed by Dhoom 3 in 2013.
