Theater loss is nuts.

Is that a record?

Did the Fifth Estate lose that many at once?

Fifth estate lost around 1600 at once, resulting in a 95% percent drop. This held pretty well with that much of a loss.

Thanks for the link. Wow at Meet Dave, lol.

No prob.

The Counselor's up there (#15), but it's not the worse.

Also the F did The Express get into 2808 theaters? Sounds like something that would be limited release.

It's a football movie.

Jonah Hex looked like shit, was shit, and got shit, so no surprise there.

The next time someone attempts to make a Jonah Hex movie (and that's a big if), don't make it a supernatural thriller, just make it a western.

Erc:

oh, how the mighty have fallen--2 1/2 years ago, 3d accounted for 60% of the domestic debut for thor, while thor 2 hit just 39%.

This is commentary on 3-D, not Thor.

It means audiences, with few exceptions, are tired of paying the upcharge and getting little if anything out of the "added" experience.

Plus, as already said, that means more people did indeed see TDW and it's not all an inflation from 3-D prices.

True. I wonder what the percentage increase is for admissions for Thor 2 v. Thor 1.
