Hated it.  Every performance was flat, especially Worthington, and every scene was horribly rushed and not given any chance to breathe.

what a wasted opportunity, some of the few things that they got right (atmosphere and some characters) can't save this mess, even the action is unimpressive. 40/100

 

Better than its sequel though.

Watched this yesterday. I saw it in Grade 7 for an assignment on Greek Mythology (out of all the movies my teacher could have shown). I didn't pay attention to the movie at all though.

I'm not a big fan of Leterrier so far as a director. Now You See Me was kinda stupid apart from the opening act, and Hulk, despite some good scenes was flat. This kinda cements my belief. The action and effects were good, and the score was awesome; the movie was suitably epic when it needed to be. But when the fighting wasn't happening, I didn't care. At all. That being said, "release the Kraken" was an awesome line, and some of the performances were great (cough cough Hades).
