Hernan Gonzalez
Incredible!!! Henry, shall I revise my OS projections for Argentina for higher than 34 million do you think? Yes! I think $35m+ is happening. This week a lot of kids are still on holidays
Purple Minion
Fantastic achievement by Minions! Keeping in mind that the Argentina peso (along with the Venezuela bolivar) are over-valued. I'd still use audience as main comparison point across Latin American countries.

It should pass Ice Age 4 next weekend to become number 2 movie ever behind Titanic. And it has a real chance of beating mighty Titanic before the end of its run

Hernan Gonzalez
Wow - maybe Minions has a shot at 36-37 million USD in Argentina, no? I think $36m is going to happen but take in account that holidays end this Sunday so all movies are going to fall hard on Monday, specially Minions

Hernan Gonzalez
Thanks a lot, just sent it now to the-numbers.com I just checked on the-numbers and they say Minions is doing $30.2m as of Sunday. I posted on Monday the weekend numbers and Minions was doing $30.4m as of Sunday. It is more or less the same number. The small difference must be a slight difference in the exchange rate we used. The last number I posted yesterday ($32.4m) includes Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Weeks in Argentina go from Thu to Wed. I took the admissions from www.ultracine.com and the average ticket price to calculate the new cumulative

Hernan Gonzalez
MI5 released on 30th any estimates?? First estimates for MI5: OW around 150k admissions, $1.2m-$1.3m MI sold around 800k admissions back in 1996. MI2 1.27m admissions (was the most successful of the saga here). MI3 sold 541497 tickets. And finally MI4 took 504269 persons to the theaters. I don't think Rogue Nation will reach 500k admissions with this OW but it should be close to that. The exchange rate is so much better right now so it will easily beat MI4 ($2.8m) and MI3 ($1.6m) but not MI2 ($7.1m). It should end up doing something like IM ($3.9m)
picores
Solid for Rogue. Maybe a 50% increase over MI4 in $.
