Trans4mers did enough to be in the Top 5 thanks to the previews on Saturday night and Sunday night in around 100 screens, it opens on Wednesday (National Holiday). OD won't be big because that day Argentina plays against Holland the World Cup Semifinal at 5 PM (Local time)

Hernan Gonzalez
Even though Argentina reached the World Cup Final against all odds, the Box Office is not suffering this week. Good holds all over!!! Top 5 Week:1- TFioS, 170561 adm, -28%. Cume: 406088 adm, around $2.1m 2- HTTYD 2, 136727 adm, -20%. Cume: 594570 adm, around $3.5m 3- Maleficent, 122131 adm, -18%%. Cume: 1630679 adm, around $9.7m. 4- Trans4mers, 109207 adm, previews. 5- The Games Maker, 77493 adm, new. Trans4mers had previews yesterday and, even though Argentina played at 5PM (local time) and there were very crowded street celebrations all over the country, 45k people decided to see Optimus Prime and Co on Wednesday!! 109k admissions on its 4 days of previews. It is a good sign for its OW. Sunday is the WC Final: Argentina-Germany. It opens today in more than 300 screens. Maleficent will soon pass Rio2 to become the second movie for 2014 trailing only Frozen. No more interesting openers this week. No movie wants to compete with Trans4mers!!! Hernan Gonzalez
Is that really bad for The Games Maker? I've read that it's one of the most expensive and ambitious argentinian movies of all-time? I didn't know anything about that movie. Just read something after you posted this. Critics were kind but WOM is very bad. It was made in Argentina with canadian money and foreign actors like Joseph Fiennes.

juni78ukr
I didn't know anything about that movie. Just read something after you posted this. Critics were kind but WOM is very bad. It was made in Argentina with canadian money and foreign actors like Joseph Fiennes. I did some research and even suggested buying rights for our distributors. They still love 3D because that usually means extra money from tickets sold.
