Twist!

Endgame is actually getting a lot of showings, they must be quite confident in it (or desperate...). 4/5 showings per day, incredible!

I'm now expecting it to be in the top 3/4 this Thursday.

Endgame and Far From Home complement each other. Once y'all see it you will understand. It makes A LOT of sense to push Endgame right now. All I'm saying.

This year we have a chance for 3 movie over 30M (EG, TLK and Zalone film)

30M for TLK is asking too much, unless we get a very rainy end of the summer. Zalone is basically locked.

And you're forgetting the new Pinocchio, starring Benigni :dunce:

I'm expecting closer to 1 million OD, it's partially a sequel to Endgame so it should gross more and be more frontloaded.

I don't rule it out, the only problem is the heat and the people who are starting to leave for the holidays

I wondered why you didn't say SW9 could do it and then I saw that even SW7 only did €25M and SW8 just €15M. Italy is a rather bad market for SW it seems o.O

star wars 7 is a bigger event than SW9 also the last chapter will have much more competition (the Zalone movie on December 25th, Frozen etc etc).

Yeah, as I said. Looking into the numbers SW just isn't as big here. Is €20M+ probable/possible again for SW9? Or closer to SW8?

Absolutely incredible for Endgame! Beat all the Thursday openers, its "OD" is just a little behind the true OD of Pets 2.

Unless it's insanely frontloaded, it will not only pass the 30M mark (locked) but also Alice in Wonderland's 30.4M and its 9-year-long reign as the top non-Cameron Hollywood movie ever (by Cinetel numbers - LK will still be on top when speaking of true SIAE numbers).

Good for TS4, hoping for a 30% drop or so this weekend.

Aladdin and Pets saw huge declines. Dark Phoenix out of the top 10.

The 3D craze in 2009/11 helped it a lot, just like it helped Ice Age 3 getting close to 30M (and to a lesser extent Toy Story 3 reaching 13.7M).

I always prefer SIAE numbers when available, though, because they're the real numbers (Cinetel - the one that gives us the daily/weekend numbers - covers all the most important screens but not all of them).

1) TITANIC 71.10

2) AVATAR 66.80

3) THE LION KING 32.90

4) ICE AGE 3 31.15

5) ALICE IN WONDERLAND 31.10

6) DA VINCI CODE 30.87

Nowadays a film like Avengers can gain 3% at best with SIAE's "actuals" (more realistically 1-2%).

Oh...Titanic and The Lion King are UNADJUSTED!
