Imo the show sort of jumped the shark...

The decision by the main character to pretty much lets 100's die to save 40 or so friends is super selfish.

It wasn't just about them.  It was also the hundreds of grounders in there also.

It's pretty much the same scenario that was in The Imitation Game and what the British did in WW2 once they had cracked enigma.

Well, if Mount Weather could freely access the ground and had no more use for the Grounders the Mountain Men would just need to exterminate them so winning this war is a matter of survival for the Sky People and the Grounders. It's a terrible sacrifice but a smart one in the end.

This.

You don't win wars without sacrifice.

Has this been renewed for a 3rd season.

What is syndication? Why does that seem important?

Here in North America a show may be not that well watched  in its intial run. However if the show is seen as good or underrated and has a rather good story arc of a lot of episodes....

It is played again and again and again on TV and this syndication.

For example shows like the George Lopez show and King of Queens were not that popular at first but became well liked shows in syndication.

I see :)

Syndication could be very important for The 100 then, this show is gaining popularity but needs to gain as much viewers as possible :)

Actually, shows that don't have an ongoing story are usually worth more in syndication.  e.g. The Simpsons

Quite obvious I guess given you don't have to watch them in a certain order to understand.
