Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan join battle to save Kodak

Recommended Posts

Film manufacturer Kodak is holding talks with major Hollowood studios in an attempt to reach a deal that could guarantee the future of celluloid – or at least help it hold out for a few more years. The recent shift to digital production has caused the company's profits to plummet, with their production of celluloid film dropping by 96% in the past seven years.

A number of prominent film directors, including Christopher Nolan, Judd Apatow, Quentin Tarantino and JJ Abrams, have spoken out in support of Kodak, and defended the practice of using traditional celluloid film.
