I've only dabbled in the all-time greats, so excuse if the list is rather top-heavy followed by a lot of comedies and more recent material. But if we're allowed to have lists that include singing competitions and stuff like The Walking Dead I figure I oughtta get my piece in, regardless of how incomplete it may be.

I just started to watch The Wire just to see what it's all about, and maybe add it to my list if it's good. So far I'm at episode 4, it's a pretttty slow start.

You must not expect twists and surprises like other shows that need that kind of tricks to keep the attention. Everything follows a logical pattern. It is the real life. But I agree it is quite dense.
