Also regarding Keaton vs. Redmayne. Also worth noting that Redmayne won in Drama and Keaton in C/M which is an advantage to Redmayne because Drama is seen as the more prestigious prize (and I want to say by far too when looking at some of the past C/M winners and nominees. You know they gave the same prize Keaton just won to RDJ for Sherlock holmes and that actor in Borat?)

I disagree. I think both are 100% set.

Other way around. Simmons has legitimately not lost a single critics award so far and like he has been actually sweeping. Arquette's actually lost a few here and there. 

 

Arquette's ratio of wins to that of her nearest competitor is higher than Simmons to Norton. (18:4 vs 21:7). And that 4 is for Tilda Swinton who has a snowball's chance in hell of being nominated.

Anyone else think the Supp Actress category could be an entire surprise for the Oscars excluding Arquette of course? I could legitimately see 4 completely different actresses getting in over the 4 expected. No one seems to have much of any momentum for a "locked" nomination outside of Arquette.

Well then by that logic Transformers: Age of Extinction would be a great BP winner too. Can't get much more "unique" for BP than a third sequel in a panned blockbuster Michael Bay action franchise.
