I can't believe Mordecai isn't losing screens this weekend.

 

It probably can't lose screens. Generally speaking, films are guaranteed to be shown for two weeks. The big theater drops usually happen in the third weekend. Blackhat's going into the third weekend, so theaters can abandon ship. Expect the same thing to happen to Mortdecai next weekend.

Lots of snow hitting the Midwest Sunday morning through Sunday night.  6-9 inches expected in Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland areas.  Sniper's Sunday fall could be significant.

 

Sunday's (therefore the weekend's) fall would be significant without any weather issues due to some other "tiny" event that day  ;)

6-9 inches is NOTHING for Chicago. They'll have that plowed out of the way by mourning. All of those areas (Detroit, Cleveland, etc) are prepared for that amount.

 

That being said I think Sniper will only do $32-35 million tops.

It snowed more than that a couple of weeks ago in Chicago. They are used to that.
