BadAtGender
If Lone Survivor is at all comparable, it earned 7.7 times the preceding Thursday on Superbowl weekend. In that case, AS will get about 28-29m this weekend. Alternatively, LS got about 1.878 times the preceding M-Th over the weekend. That would point AS to a 31-32m weekend. As for the weekly drop, it's down 38.5 from the opening week. If it kept up that pace it WOULD beat Mockingjay, and would probably finish up around $350m. Unfortunately, it needs to earn about 48m over the next week in order to stay on the "beat MJ pace", which it isn't going to do if the weekend is in the low 30s. While we can expect a recovery next weekend, it will have to be a very good recovery in order to stay on the pace. It may be MJ, but it's probably going to be closer than expected.

Strange Magic might challenge for #1. Also, theaters will want more screens for the 3 new openers next week than for this week's openers. FTF
hmm, surprised AS dropped on Thursday. Weekend will obviously be down all around with the Super Bowl, so next weekend's hold will be the key. Also, can someone please tell me how to switch my signature image? I've checked my setting and my profile pages and I just can't seem to find where to do that anymore :/ Edited January 30, 2015 by FTF

If you want to look at the options and see what sort of account gets what, click on the "Donate" button on the upper right and select "popular accounts". You'll see a list of all the options. Noctis
? $35 million ($252 million) $30.5 million ($297 million) $28 million/$34 million ($345 million) $21.5 million ($373 million) $17 million ($398 million) $13 million ($418 million) $9 million ($433 million) $7 million ($445 million) $5 million ($453 million) $3 million ($458 million) $2 million ($461 million) $1 million ($462 million) $468 million DOM total $350 million is definitely not the ceiling. I'd say $410-420 million is where it will end up. That's the bare minimum, especially since its legs will stablize over the next 30-35 days due to minimal competition (50 Shades, SpongeBob 2 and Kingsman all only target one specific demo). Anything less than $350 million would be a disappointment considering its first two weekends' performances. It would have to have 40-45% drops for the next month to miss $350 million. Logic. You lack it.
