Funnier than I thought it would be. Simply superb but loses a lot on repeated viewing because you're no longer surprised by the visual jokes and story twists. B from me but absolutely recommended for 1st viewing if you like the absurd.

I love this movie. The plot is extremely original, the characters are all twisted and interesting, the script is fantastic. All the actors do a very good job and Malkovich going into his own portal is awesome. "Malkovich, Malkovich Malkovich."

I'm going to have to give this an A, I really want to see it again.

AThe storyline is pretty out there, I remember seeing it for the first time and thinking 'Wow, it really is about being John Malkovich', but that's what's so great about this movie. The characters are all pretty weird, but so well done, the story is truely unique.

Brilliant, brilliant script by Kaufman. One of the most original films I've ever seen, and I have a feeling it might become one of my favorites like eternal sunshine has.A-

first act is one funniest things I've seen in my entire life (seriously no hyperbole there) and the scene above makes any movie worth watching, but since I'm super dumb I didn't get the whole point of it, I was like 'yeah, so?' throughout most of it.
