Thanks, guys!Yea, I don't expect a nice proper cineplex setting when I see an arthouse movie but I do prefer to have excellent screen and sound presentations -- which isn't common for a lot of arthouse theaters.Plus, I refuse to watch Torrents. I suspect that's the main reason a lot of people end up seeing smaller movies anyway these days (unless they live in a major city with a strong indie culture).

I'll take the arthouse over the AMC most days of the week (the other days are reserved for tentpoles). The Landmark Theaters never have any horrible texters or talking teenagers or loud families. Their customers respect the movies and the rest of the audience, and Landmark respects them back.

Same here! I watched a few Torrents for the 2008 Oscar season I remember, but never again. It just feels wrong. Almost especially stealing the smaller movies that could actually use the revenue (ticket, rental etc).

The only downloaded movies I ever watched were Fellowship of the Ring and Memento back in 2002. (My friend downloaded the later though, and I had seen FotR four times in theaters.) :lol:Never since, though.
