It was about as lame as can be....until Mugatoo shows up.  Then it got fairly good. The last 20 minutes was really well done.  Getting all the fashion industry people to show up because they are all as stupid as Zoolander...was pretty funny.  Sadly the rest is not that great but it is cool to see a celeb show up every 5 minutes.

It's fascinating how Zoolander 2 fails. The beginning is a great way to bring us up to speed, and the ending is inspired stupidity. In fact, maybe the first ten minutes leads you to believe that this will be a clever parody of years later sequels like The Dark Knight Rises or Tron: Legacy, but unfortunately, Zoolander 2 falls into a trap that's the opposite of what most comedy sequels suffer.

The new characters are dull and unfunny. Penelope Cruz is terrible as the audience surrogate character, being much too larger than life, and every new character (with the exception of one timely celebrity cameo) is obnoxious and out of place. When the film focuses on Zoolander, his son, Hansel, or any of the returning characters, it's hilarious; unfortunately, it's fascinated on wasting time on already outdated stereotypes and the worst thing Ben Stiller's done to hipsters since While We're Young in Kyle Mooney's cringe-worthy fashion designer.

There's no reason for Mugatu not to show up until 75% of the film is done. In fact, it feels like the film is treading water before he arrives, with pretty desperate cameos filling screentime and a lack of a real engrossing plot. Interestingly though, the jokes that work best are the reprises, because Stiller takes them to absurdity levels with "bigger is better." Zoolander 2 is worth a watch if you want to go on one more journey with the wacky characters, but otherwise, this is one to avoid. C-

It's a stupid comedy but only succeeded in the stupid part and forgot the comedy. I laughed, or more accurately, chuckled a couple of times and the rest of the time I just stared at the screen not in disbelief but indifference. I should admit, I didn't think the first movie was any classic but at least had some amusing moments but this sequel just did not work at all. IMO, it's even worse than those spoof movies because there was an actual budget behind this one while the others are slapped together to make a quick buck.

Terrible. The movie is funny a total of three times and it's all part of a recurring gag involving Keither Sutherland so it technically only counts as one. The plot is all over the place, the characters and the satire are paper thin, and every time a joke dies it's almost uncomfortable. How did Stiller go from Tropic Thunder to this? Awful.
