ThomasNicole
I remember reports of people on test screenings saying it´s the best live action from Disney, which isn´t that hard but i think it can be well received enough

Nah. Family movies do extremly well with bad reviews because all they have to provide is wholesome entertainment, not an arthouse thinkpiece. They are critics-proof. For example, this looks like shit to me (Rob Marshall, live action remake, nuff said) but my youngest sister wants to see it so of course that I'm taking her. My teenage sisters are seeing it with their friends, all big fans of Chloe x Halle, and they wouldn't be caught dead with a kid. So you already have variety of demos: a child, an adult companion, a group of teenage girls. Boom. Boxoffice through the roof. For critics the bar isn't that high but if The Little Mermaid gets that kind of reception or something like Jungle Book or the first Maleficent from the audience it'll be more than just well received enough.
Valonqar
I've no doubt it will get A+ or at least A from the audience. Traditional romance + likable lead + beloved songs + SFX (GA isn't as picky as geeks) = high audience score + great WOM. Family entertainment is no rocket science. Krissykins
Those Dolby and Fandango posters are lovely. The 4DX one not so much.
PrinceRico
If this gets good reviews, great WOM and box office I can’t wait to see all the YouTube’s videos about how Disney paid billions to audience to see and say they liked the movie. Anti woke crowd is about to be pissed.
Valonqar
I wished Disney paid for mine and my baby sister's ticket but nope. I bought tickets myself. Ticket buying conspiracy theories are hilarious. That's not how the system works. Edited April 26, 2023 by Valonqar

PrinceRico
Looks like tickets sells are off to a good start. I guess audiences didn’t get the memo about the number of fake dislikes on YouTube. 2

Just got to that part on my rewatch (still amazing stuff, holy snot). It's so weird there's a whole angry chef subplot that's just there for silly slapstick, but I approve 100%. 29 minutes ago, kayumanggi said: 2
