newbie BO buff Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Guys, I'd like to hear your predictions on 2017 movies that will hit 500 million worldwide or more. We have the usual suspects like SW8, JL, F8 ....... what about the rest? 11 movies so far in 2016 (maybe 3-5 more) 14 movies in 2015 15 movies in 2014 12 movies in 2013 13 movies in 2012 Seems like 2014 is the record? 1 Quote

I'd say Lego Batman has a way better chance of topping Coco than the other way around. Pirates 5 and Justice League will both hit 850m at least. Furious 8 is too high, same with Star Wars 8. 2 Quote

Well don't try to lowball any of these upcoming Illumination-movies though, and wishfully think they need to underperform...because of your apathy against them. It doesn't work that way. Same thing with movies like say.....Transformers or a DCCU-movie. They'll still be big either way. I know why you're lowballing some movies here and there. Because you don't care. And i see that you rather want Pixar/Disney to win. Quote

The blockbusters makes the big grosses either way. No way in hell, that you can force people to stay away from Illumination-movies as possible. They have their audiences....deal with it. That's how it is. I give little to no crap about what you think about that animation studio. Even Bluesky & Dreamworks has their audiences. Edited August 30, 2016 by MrFanaticGuy34 1 Quote

keysersoze123 Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Guardians 2 is being over predicted big time. I dont see it come close CW which had IM and SM. it would be lucky to gross 500m OS especially if dollar remains strong. But next year should be stronger than this year with more OS friendly movies. 1 Quote
