Mockingjay Raphael
We currently have two Horror movies in the Top 5 of biggest movies of year. Insane.
narniadis
You have spring break and major metropolitan areas out of school for a freak winter storm. The next 3ish weeks will see slightly inflated dailies as well because of the staggared spring break schedules. Which means Tuesdays will be a little less crazy than normal for adult films (parents taking the kiddies out instead) and weaker Friday increases across the board. narniadis
And I for one will be glad when La La finally crosses 150 because I had thought it would have done so a week or so back but it's holds post 125m haven't been "out of this world."

Loss of screens to BATB may cause a slightly bigger drop this weekend, but you can also argue BATB sellouts could drive shut out teens and young adults to GO. This is a moot point anyway. Even if GO falls from $20.7 million to $11 million this weekend it will be over $130 million through Sunday, possibly even hitting a 4x multi. 24 days in. On a $4.5 million production cost.

That's what's so fascinating about the international BO. Every country/region has its peculiar and idiosyncratic tastes. A Monster Calls was a flop everywhere, except in Spain, where it was the number one movie of 2016...
