In a plot twist, Endless Entertainment has decided to release the plot (along with some lore) now for Phoenix: Rebirth but a new title shall be revealed:

”Long ago, the world plagued by a war against light and dark magic causing chaos and suffering lead by the goddess of darkness Ethire who has just about to kill the goddess of light, Luxa. Luckily, before she parted, she bestowed her powers to her most trusted general, to continue the fight dubbing him the Phoenix.

Throughout the century, the Phoenix, a protector of the realms with godlike power and control over fire and light has been known for legacies against Ethire passed down from generation to generation when the current wielder becomes 16 and the former wielder becomes weaker and loses the powers. However, dark forces seemed to die down permanently the latest rendition of the Phoenix left and focus on Novos, his home, and leaving other realms to grow by themselves and succumb to their own problems as they lose their faith.

The current Phoenix user is King Clark Griffin, who has protected his kingdom of Novos, a land inhabited by knights, wizards and traditional fantasy things protected by giant walls to keep out invaders.

Enter the royal prince Connor Griffin, his intellectual gifted yet socially awkward son on the eve of his 16th birthday who while wanting to keep his father happy doesn’t want to be a ruler as well as the powers he’s yet to master but rather explore beyond the walls. His best friend and adopted sister and biological cousin, the royal princess Ayla Griffin is a street wise rebel with a heart of gold and love for jokes.

However, the kingdom is thrown quickly under siege by fanatics of Ethire, the Triad of Terror, dark elves who have found a reserve of dark magic lead by Malraka (Henry Cavill) manages to take over the kingdom and capture the king and queen, forcing the royal children to flee behind the walls pursued by Malraka and his two generals.

Together, the royal make a plan to travel the never before seen worlds tackled with their own problems to find warriors to help them take back their kingdom as well as Connor mastering his skills as well as earning the trust of the civilians of other worlds as the Phoenix as both he and Ayla begin their legacy.”

Phoenix: Rebirth heads to theaters in 3D, Dolby Cinema, PLFs and IMAX 2D+3D, April 30th, Y5.

Today you’ll see Evan (Tye Sheridan) and a bit of his world in depth.

Something tells me similar plots, I’m guessing.

It's actually kind of funny because they're similar settings and scenarios but the actual plot/message of Heroes Within is more or less a direct deconstruction of the kind of story you're apparently doing.

I’m very intrigued for Heroes Within now.

Meet Evan and the world of New Technos

Director Travis Knight says a lot of the many places in the film are inspired by both fiction and periods in time. This one is inspired by superheroes and the futuristic fantasy that we call science fiction. New Technos is one of the main factions in the story that had developed after the Phoenix left, with this one becoming more technologically advanced, similar to that off what many would Picture in a sci-fi version of the future; flying cars, robots, etc. The people here also have cybernetic implants as well to help them.

The people in New Technos are ruled by a democracy as well not to mention that that there’s no war but like with most big cities there’s heavy crime and despite the police force’s help it’s not enough. That’s where Evan comes in.

Evan, (played by Tye Sheridan), is a cocky inventor who inherited a family business at day and a vigilante cyborg at night with a steampunk flair to his gear and suit, and using the jet engines on his gastrocnemius, forearms and back, his uses speed and his set of weaponry, he proves to be a valuable part of the team. (For those willing to imagine think Tenya Iida’s suit from My Hero Academia with glorious Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio’s torsopiece and bronze as well as the technology of steampunk).

Tomorrow, we will take a look at the kingdom in the clouds, but with in a world with less of a sort of rule in order but with a more western flair as we see the tough as nails, gunslinging Valkyrie, Valeria (Rebbeca Ferguson) in action, and her partner Ignus (Bobby Moniyhan), a dimunitive dragon with a few tricks up his sleeve.

Meet Valeria and Ignus as they preside in the lawless skies of Zepa.

After the Phoenix left, the Valkyries, humanoids with hawk like wings faced the worst of the brunt as most of their species were wiped out, causing them first to lose faith in a savior and went to fend for themselves and toughened up, head to the highest of the sky and mountains having to deal with some of the beasts in the sky like dragons.

Zepa is best compared to the both Western time frame and setting of many films. The Valkyries often find themselves at conflict with one another as well as facing wild and dangerous dragons for power and control over the skies they reign in. Zepa also deals with the most crime out of all of the realms in the story.

Enter Valeria (Rebecca Ferguson), a non nonsense Valkyrie woman who basically acts the sheriff of Zepa, brandishing shotguns, a lasso and a flail, she flies into battle. Valeria is also very unemotional and distant, as she has suffered a lot, hardened as the years go by and losing her wife. Her partner, Ignus (motion capture by Bobby Moynihan), a selfish and rather foul-mouthed diminutive and tubby dragon, standing at 2 feet tall. Ingus can speak unlike most dragons and is rather domesticated. Despite not being able to breath fire or fly the fastest, Ignus knows a lot about his fellow beast and acts as a vitriolic best friend to Valeria.

The two provide interesting perspectives as a part of the crew providing more of a solemn tone.

Tomorrow we take a look at an anime inspired world of Wukanishi and Tora (Zhang Ziyi), a spiritual martial arts fighter with god like strength, potentially stronger than the Phoenix, with a passion for increasing her power.

A few updates on the Endless Animation side:

 - Medusa’s budget has been elevated to a strong $155M, the biggest budget for an Endless Animation film

 - The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Amazon Prime sneak preview will be in 800 theaters nationwide at 3:00 pm. Squirrel Girl will also have a end credit scene and a tribute to the deceased Stan Lee at the end of the movie

 - “Can You Imagine?... The Bedtime Stories” will debut in front of Splatoon instead of Medusa, despite Splatoon not being an Endless Animation film. This was decision was done by Xavier B Irving, primarily to not have to shorten or increase Medusa’s runtime and allow it to focus as a film.

- Insiders say the Y6 slate will likely be Super Mario Bros, Framework and Gigantic and a teaser for Mario is confirmed to be attached to Squirrel Girl.

Meet Tora (Zhang Ziyi) and the land of Wukanishi

Wukanishi is inspired of both feudalism Japan as well as Chinese and Japanese culture and anime like Dragon Ball Z, One Punch Man and My Hero Academia as power is basically the perfect currency in their worlds.

The people of Wukanishi were once some of the finest fighters, humans with near god like strength and powered up by the will and meditation against Ethire’s dark forces oftern assisting the Phoenix but when the Phoenix left, they had little to fight and fought each other but not in war or for ruling power but for honor and to become strong enough to protect themselves. The Wukanishi people don’t believe in pure evil but rather those with and without honor being malevolent or not. Power and honor are the two most important things in their culture.

Tora (Zhang Ziyi) is arguably the strongest fighter in Wukanishi, with an upbeat, comical and bold attitude as well as a mother of two young children. She has three form (so to speak), with each form stronger than the last, increasing her powers. Her first form allows her to go toe to toe with some of the fiercest beasts, the second form allows her to potentially tear through the hardest substances and the final form allows her to become stronger than the Phoenix in terms of physical strength. However with each form, the more energy she used and the more drained she becomes and can only go in the last form in short amounts of time. Humorously, because of this she is a master cook.

Tomorrow we take a look at the royal children with the next Phoenix with a legacy to uphold, Connor Griffin (Abraham Attah) and the spell casting princess who just wants to have fun, Ayla Griffin (Taliah Webster).

Due to recent racially tinged comments, Endless Entertainment might be planning on dropping Gina Rodriguez from the sequel to their breakout hit “Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive 2”. Kevin Hart was recently dropped due to a flurry of anti LGBT statements as the LGBT community has a very prevalent presence in the film, and Xavier B Irving is truly appalled by some of Mrs. Rodriguez’s comments but is unknown on what will happen next. It is unknown if Pigeon 2 will be delayed to a Y8 release.

Major Slate Shakeup and a New Studio for Endless Entertainment

Andrew Stanton will not direct Green Lantern Corps: Rise Of The Manhunters not due to only creative differences but to take time to prepare for rival Hourglass Pictures’ Thunderbirds in Y6. Stanton will sign on to direct a sequel if green lit as he found himself and Xavier B. Irving agreed that his talents would work best for a sequel. Stanton will still receive other credits such as a producer credit instead. F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, Spark: Homeward) will now take over and direct as the film has evolved to more of a buddy cop film to give it an edge over other sci-fi films in CAYOM like Voltron, Spark, The Scavenger Wars and even Endless Entertainment’s own Treasure Planet.

Green Lantern Corps: Rise Of The Manhunters is also being pushed forward to July 30th, Y5 as Dragon Ball: The Red Ribbon Saga has been pushed back again as Irving wants to ace the adaptation as the last thing anyone wants is another Dragon Ball: Evolution. James Bobin’s musical sci-fi comedy, The Valkyries vs The Galaxy will now move to September 3rd, Y5, as well as getting an IMAX release to take advantage of a less competitive landscape.

On the lighter side, doubling up on Animation, Endless Entertainment opens a second animation studio to focus on traditional animated films titled What A Toon. The studio will be run by Genddy Tartakovsky (Oscar winning Can You Imagine?). But here’s the catch, What A Toon will do both big and light budgeted animated films but also the majority of the films will be PG-13 or R rated animated films except for a few films. Peter Ramsey and Kendrick Lamar’s sci-fi hip hop musical Supernova, previously an Endless Animation film will be the first film from the banner and will be rated PG-13 and contain a budget up to $150M. Fellow sister studio, Infinite Studios will also distribute the films to help boost the sister studio’s quality.

The following films under the banner are; Zach Snyder’s untitled fantasy film, The Family Guy Movie, Toon Terror an upcoming pitch from Endless Animation’s Head Chris McKay, Duck Dodgers, Tam Lin and Genndy’s own 101 Ways to Get Rich Quick.

Earthsong Volume II Pushed to Q1 Y6

Citing the competitive nature of this year's December slate and an overload of fantasy films on the calendar - including their own - Gold Crescent Pictures has announced today that Earthsong Volume II: The Mandragora will abandon its December 10th bow in favor of an opening sometime in the first three months of Y6. The movie is still being shot back-to-back with the trilogy's yet-untitled final chapter, which Gold Crescent plans to open on Mother's Day weekend in Y7.
