Well there's a big difference between being one of the worst of the year and just missing the honorable mentions

I guess it depends where things land :jeb!:

It's based on a pretty good and fairly intelligent show tho

I wouldn't know. The concept of vehicles hooking up to form a larger vehicle with barely adult protagonists seemed like Transformers meets Power Rangers

A few more this morning:

20.

Spoiler

He-Man

Another pleasant surprise that actually spins something coherent and serious instead of leaning into playing up the camp.

19.

Spoiler

A Love to Die For

Strong rom-com chemistry between the leads helps propel a film that takes a weird swerve from dark romantic comedy into a crime caper in the second half.

18.

Spoiler

SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron

It was radical. I have no defense.

17.

Spoiler

Mirror’s Edge

Takes the thin, somewhat mediocre plot and characters of the game and gives them some extra depth and heft with invigorating chase setpieces.

16.

Spoiler

Blood and Fur

Zonky zany bloody fun time.

Another chunk:

15.

Spoiler

The Curse of Monkey Island

An irreverent and zippy adventure featuring an earnest performance from Tom Holland. Pour one out for the memory of Lucasarts of old.

14.

Spoiler

Rendezvous with Rama

Besson goes minimalist in a film that emphasizes atmosphere over meat, and mostly succeeds. Some third act shenanigans weigh it down.

13.

Spoiler

The Provider

I may be Gaga for Gugu, but this is a good film in its own right. A few contrivances, but Mackenzie's grit and Gugu and Jake G's acting power this film along.

12.

Spoiler

The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair

A bit ponderous and a bit slapdash in places, but strong acting and moving, emotional character beats really gives this film a punch.

Note: @Bastien, I would suggest not writing as much in the style you chose for this. Stream of consciousness-esque writing can work in bits, but for this film written the whole way it got a little disorienting.

11.

Spoiler

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Existing halfway between the Disney animated offering and the tone of the source novel makes the feel of the film a little bit of an odd duck, but it's a moving piece of work nonetheless.

If Scrooge McDuck isn't in the top 10 I'm going to be :whosad:

And here I am pretty sure that neither Soma nor Life is Strange were good enough for his top 25. If a movie gets mixed reviews, numbers is usually the harshest one, haha.

So I'm gonna do a thing I did several times in earlier iterations of this game. I'm going to hold a contest.

Guess the Top 10, and the order of the Top 10.

If you guess correctly that a film is in the top 10, you get a point. If you correctly guess its placement in the Top 10, you get points based on the following scale:

10- 1

9- 2

8- 3

etc.

Winner (the one with the most points) gets an exclusive pre-read.

So before I start the countdown I'll see if people want to take a stab at this.

Sure.

I'm guessing the top 10 is:

10. Spark: Rising

9. Second to Singapore

8. Me and My Shadow

7. The Adventures of Scrooge McDuck

6. Hidden World

5. Amulet

4. Flowers for Algernon

3. Seeing Her

2. Life is Strange

1. White Hurricane

9. Seeing Her

8. Spark Rising

7. Second to Singapore

6. Flowers for Algernon

5. Faces and Voices

4. Me and my Shadow
