That's more than E£35mn of Aladdin and E£29.5mn of Avengers: Endgame. I guess, may be it will hit E£100mn if it manage one more week around E£20mn. Hobbs and Shaw open with E£8.5mn or that would be $500k. Ratings 7.9. TLK good hold in Week Three. Shall cross E£20mn. Hoping @Moses and @Amrwael22 will tell us more about the Elephant in the chart. The blue elephant 2 is the second part for a movie with the same name. 45 millions Egyptian pound in 2 weeks and we still have the feast next week. It will have bigger competition later this summer but it can be the biggest movie ever in local currency and may cross 100 millions Egyptian pound. The biggest movie ever in local currency is named Casablanca and it grossed around 80 million Egyptian pound ( around 5 million dollars)

Another increase in a week. At this rate 100 million is all but certain. ER 10 years back would have seen it cross $15mn, while hardly $6mn now. 22mn 23mn 25mn* / 70 15mn (let say it drop) 8mn 5mn 3mn Rest 3mn 105mn range easily. dada
Here is studio report. Disney In the Middle East, Toy Story 4 is the highest grossing animated movie of all time across the region. In the Middle East, The Lion King became the third highest grossing film of all time in the region, meaning Disney has the top 3 all-time releases with Aladdin(NO.1), Avengers: Endgame(NO.2), and The Lion King. Means Lion king got nearly $10M on other Middle East. Paramount DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD in United Arab Emirates opened at #3 delivering $500K from 55 locations. The total Middle East region grossed $1.4M. Three years before, the UAE box office occupied more than 60% of the Middle East market (excluding Egypt, Israel and Turkey on the geography). Now, UAE is only about 40%, Saudi Arabia and other GCC member are growing more rapidly.

charlie Jatinder
Middle East boxoffice is basically about GCC. For Bollywood films; GCC account for 95% of Middle East box office. In GCC UAE account for 50-70% of boxoffice depending on star's film. Usually Khans have around 60% from UAE, while SRK that goes to even 50% as he has bigger reach in GCC than others

May be for Hollywood it's actually admissions tracked and not estimated. Edited August 19, 2019 by Charlie Jatinder

charlie Jatinder
Egypt Week 34: https://www.elcinema.com/en/boxoffice/2019/34 Great 2nd week for Welad Rizk 2. Hardly any drop and that to with over EGP30mn 2nd week. So now it may actually cross EGP 100mn before Blue Elephant 2, which also had very good Week 4. This reminds me of Indian box office in 2008. Rab Ne Banadi Jodi released in mid-December, was trending to become first ever 100 crore Nett Grosser. In its 3rd Week Ghajini released, blasted all opening records, and crossed 100 crore. RNBJ was affected by the release of Ghajini and missed 100cr by 15%, here Blue Elephant 2 may not miss.
