Late Night with the Devil

3/25 4:40 PM

5 people

Trailers:

The Bikeriders

Abigail

The Watchers

Cuckoo

Arcadian

A couple chuckles here and there. One scene towards the end made the few of us jump. Wish I had seen this during the weekend with a better audience because it's a fun movie.

Monkey Man

7 People

  • Abigail
  • I think there was a commercial for Deadpool and Wolverine, but not a trailer proper.
  • Longlegs (ok me and someone else chuckled a bit at it)
  • Abigail
  • Ungentlemanly Warfare
  • The Fall Guy
  • The Watchers

A few laughs, thought one of the couples was walking out but they did come back. Some  guy wanted to add commentary for the first 15 minutes but got the picture after several shushes.

Challengers

IMAX Early Access Screening (Miami)

40% full

Trailers:

We Grown Now

The Blue Angels
Inside Out

Despicable Me 4

A couple of laughs during the movie. One lady seemed a bit uncomfortable during one  of the risqué scenes. The end had people on the edge of their seat, literally felt like I was at a sports game lol. Most people stayed during the end credits. Overall audience liked it.

The Phantom Menace re-release

50 people or so, lots of millenials/Gen X with their children, some stragglers like myself.

The interesting thing is - The kids didn't care at all. Jar Jar got smoke but they had to have something in there to entertain the kids...and these kids didn't care one bit. Some teenagers laughed at him once behind me. The kid in front of me seemed bothered by the noise and after minute 90, put on his headphones and played Super Mario Maker on his Switch.

It's so interesting how something that would have impressed kids in the 90s doesn't today.

The audience during the 3rd act was pretty disengaged because the amount of talking really slowed things down and you wonder when it'll just end because it did not need to be 2h 15m.

& yeah there were trailers

- Borderlands

- Inside Out 2

- Kingdom

- Twisters

- If

- Beetlejuice 2, which actually got some chatter.

The Fall Guy

Saturday May 5 9pm

Like 4 other people

Trailers:

IF

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

Furiosa

Twisters

Despicable Me 3

(No The Bikeriders. Universal, what are you doing? This movie is fucked. I hate that they're relegating this to a Focus Features release and are treating it like an indie)

Some laughs

Mars Express

Regal Multiplex

~7:30 PM

Trailers:

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Deadpool and wolverine

Borderlands

The Wild Robot

4 people including me. Movie was cool nice to see animation for adults not a comedy. GKids did a really bad job of promoting this one and only saw it via an animation YouTuber I follow tweet about it.
