JCS
Sometimes they just do it late. Usually they update schedules Tuesday but sometimes it's Wednesday. Edit: Looks like they've updated now. 25 showings a day. Very late! Seeing it Sunday at Westfield, can't wait!
Heretic
Ticket sales are really picking up. Seeing a lot of nearly full up shows for tomorrow night, and Saturday. OLS 8pm showing tomorrow is probably gonna sell out. I expect between £2.5-3m for Friday, and over £4m on Saturday.
Films
August Osage county is a bloody 15 (though im still seeing it). probs seeing TH2: DOS tomorrow if well enough. SchumacherFTW
Grudge match is a 12? That's disappointing.
Jonwo
August Osage County being a 15 isnt surprising. The play its based on is very sweary, its R in the US. Edited December 12, 2013 by Jonwo
Films
Anchorman 2 is of course the equivalent of a 12A in North America. At least non-stops a pg-13 (hopefully its 12A here).

PG 13 is just a middle ground thing. Don't have too much gore, boobs or swears and you're in. The ratings here are a lot more understandable. Put yourself in a parent's shoes, would you really let a child watch WWZ or Cloverfield?
Heretic
It's a school/work day, but even so, DOS is looking quite busy with early afternoon shows.

Put yourself in a parent's shoes, would you really let a child watch WWZ or Cloverfield? The R rating is flawed in that a child could see something like Wolf of Wall Street with a parent when it isn't suitable at all. The ratings system isnt perfect but most of the time, the rating they give are justified. Edited December 13, 2013 by Jonwo
Heretic
Hobbit doing well tonight, though it doesn't look quite as strong as CF was a few weeks ago. This has 3d though, which means the grosses may end up being close. Tomorrow should be very big.
PhilipJ2001
we've done a bit more today than we did on the first Hobbit's corresponding Friday (but of course that had burnt of some demand on the Thursday).
Films
Did anyone get the interstellar trailer at hobbit 2. I didn't (sad face)
RthDeadWov
DOS fri about 2.8 (AUJ Thu 2.1,fri 2.5)
Heretic
That's pretty good. Opening will be less than AUJ due to one less extra day, but 3 day weekend of £9.5m should be beaten.
John Marston
DOS fri about 2.8 (AUJ Thu 2.1,fri 2.5) looks like it is basically staying flat. Good.
zackzack
Staying flat doesn't guarantee DOS matching AUJ. There will be a guaranteed big 2nd weekend drop next weekend & unless other countries net a significant increase like in Germany, it looks like DOS may stay under $1B WW. And there goes the dream of trio of $1B WW for 2013 (unless DM2 breaks out in China). 2012 is really a stellar year. Still, DOS will make a tidy profit for Warner. Jonwo
Pretty good for Hobbit, a tad higher than AUJ's Friday although that was probably to be expected, will be interest to see what the increase is on Saturday.Hope Frozen has a good drop, I expect it'll have lost some 3D screens to The Hobbit but being the only big family film, it'll likely perform well.
