Heretic
The weather today was absolutely stunning. And it's meant to be like this all weekend. :DSurprised Anna isn't number 1 though...
The Dark Alfred
Why are you surprised? I expected Dredd to win due to 3D, it's going to be close I reckon. Lawless shouldn't be far behind either.
CJohn
TMB deserves to tank.
Heretic
Anna Karenina looked really busy around my area this evening, so I thought it'd get the top spot. But Dredd has 3D, and all adult prices so I guess it has quite a bit of an advantage.
JCS
Hopefully the early Friday order stays like that for the weekend, matches my predictions so far!Not surprised TBM bombed, looked very unfunny and generally awful. But we need to wait and see just how badly it tanked...
Crusader
Any official Dredd numbers ? Hoping for a 3 mil OW at least ... dollar wise
JCS
Any official Dredd numbers ?Hoping for a 3 mil OW at least ... dollar wiseMight make it to that, will be close I think. That is a £1.8M OW and early September is bad for the Box-Office normally. Then again, it could past that figure and surprise us all.
PhilipJ2001
Anna was a bit of a disaster at my cinema yesterday. Very poor
Heretic
Weather? It's absolutely boiling today. Probably the last hot weekend of the year before Autumn sets in.Paralympics also end today.

JCS
Weather? It's absolutely boiling today. Probably the last hot weekend of the year before Autumn sets in.Paralympics also end today. This plus the usually bad early September BO means we will not have great weekend grosses. Especially with the weather and Paralympic Closing Ceremony too.Italian Grand Prix as well...... *crickets* Oh well, I'm finally seeing Intouchables tonight so fuck the sun.Good film, saw it a while ago. Very cheesy and cliche though so only gave it 8/10.But I also got 4 free preview tickets too so can see it again on the big screen.Guess you use the free previews as well. Heretic
$1.6m opening for Anna Karenina. Awful. The weather + other things definitely effected it.
PhilipJ2001
that's about £1m. looking at the figures we've done on it i'm not surprised.
JCS
Looks like a bad weekend all round then, not just for Anna Karenina. We all over-predicted... So Dredd 3D won the weekend then. At least a few of us were right on that. Anna Karenina ranked second behind Dredd in a soft weekend due to the excellent local weather. SchumacherFTW
Good film, saw it a while ago. Very cheesy and cliche though so only gave it 8/10.But I also got 4 free preview tickets too so can see it again on the big screen.Guess you use the free previews as well. It was an early screening for Cineworld Unlimited subscribers. Recently they've been on it with these, Ted a couple of days before release back in July, and Total Recall 2 weeks ago. They've got Looper coming up on the 24th so I'm weighing up my ability to see that. As for Intouchables, I absolutely loved it. I really really hope it does well here, but that's like asking for England to win a football world cup.
