Heretic
That's more than Taken's entire run. Some huge openers coming. Mad 3 could do $10m and Bond $25m.O
SchumacherFTW
Bond will easily hit £16m I think. Madagascar should pull £6/7, Hotel Transylvania will likely be happy with £3m.

Heretic
Nice opening for Sinister too!Once again, a tiny drop for Paranorman.Perks a little low though...hopefully the strong WOM gives it a long run.
Jonwo
I reckon Taken 2 will do £2.5m for the three day weekend next week, probably be hard to predict HT's OW given Mad 3 has previews but I think £2-2.5m OW depending on how it does Sat-Sun as I imagine it's not going to have much of an audience on its Opening Day. Heretic
It's set for at least £16-17m now though I think which is excellent.PA4 also opens in 2 weeks, along with Madagascar 3, so that should do around £3m too. Very busy next few weeks.
Jonwo
£16-17m is very likely for Taken 2. PA4 I think it'll be £3-3.5m opening, Madagascar I think £5-6m with previews. Frankenweenie I think £1.5-2m five days.

Heretic
On a Monday!? Holy shit. It's actually doing very well around my area too. I expect weekday numbers will be pretty good. And orange Wednesday will be absolutely massive. Probably over £1m alone easily.I expect it to be at or over £10m by the end of Thursday, and then possibly near £13m ($21m) by Sunday. SchumacherFTW
The next few Wednesdays are going to be batshit mental! This week Taken, next week has PA4 and Frankenweenie's ODs, the following week has residual PA4 and Madagascar, then Bond, half term and Halloween all in one swoop. Insane. Heretic
Half-term holiday is going to be one of the biggest ever.
SchumacherFTW
Can't disagree with you on that. I'd love to know how this year compares to 2011 so far, outside of Potter we must be pretty close.
Heretic
Can't disagree with you on that. I'd love to know how this year compares to 2011 so far, outside of Potter we must be pretty close.I'm sure this year will be even bigger than last year, which was quite a strong year, and by quite a wide margin too. It's been an amazng year for some films so far, and we still have 2 £50m+ grossers to come. 1 will likely get over £60m too. Also Twilight, which will do around £35m.Last Christmas period was very weak. This years isn't.
Heretic
http://www.cinemauk.org.uk/facts-and-figures/admissions/monthly-uk-cinema-admissions-2012/Monthly admissions this year so far. Some months bigger than last year, but August was significantly down, probably due to lack of bigger films and the olympics.OCT-DEC should all be bigger than 2011 by far. Heretic
I think 2012 could beat 2009 as the biggest year since at least 2003.
