efialtes76
DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar 3 added $14.9m from 2,236 venues in 28 countries for a $482.9m running total. The family film opened top in the UK on $9.6m from 519 ....
Heretic
Good opening, but I was expecting a little more after the previews last weekend. No matter, it has a week of holidays coming up where it'll see very small drops.
JCS
Great start for Mad 3, almost $10M OW (with previews) which is £6M! Was never going to open THAT high anyway, as families waiting until half-term to see it and it will make a ton of £££ this week and it is a good film anyway so families may even go twice...etc! JCS
PA4 made a bad $4.1M with 5-day OW.Taken 2 made $3.7M on 3rd weekend for $30.1M gross.
Jonwo
Would mean it did £3m excluding previews which is good but it should have good legs. Wonder how HT and Frankenweenie did.
Heretic
Taken 2 is such a beast! It'll ease by $35m with half term coming up, although, it'll get hit very hard this week by Skyfall. The majority of films will.
Jonwo
Taken doesn't really have similar competition and PA4 underperforming has helped as well but Skyfall will hurt most films, the kids film may be able to withstand it a bit.
The Toymaker
Hmmm, funny that Taken 2 is at £18.8m. I said it would make £20m with ease. Seems I was right.
Olive
less than 10m$ opening for Mad3, quite disappointing.
JCS
less than 10m$ opening for Mad3, quite disappointing. There will be almost no drops throughout this week, legs will be amazing!BTW Heretic, update the title. One job... Edited October 22, 2012 by JCS

JCS
Can finally say this.... SKYFALL OUT THIS WEEK! Going to be huge! Predictions? I am going with £17M OW. Edited October 22, 2012 by JCS
The Toymaker
We will see...could be a last minute collapse. There's no way it doesn't gross another £1.2m coming off of an £18.8m 17-day run.
Heretic
Next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting. I'm thinking around the £16.5-17m mark and then with half term, weekdays will be absolutely monstrous. Should blow by £35m by the end of the second weekend. SchumacherFTW
Taken 2's going to lose most of its showtimes from this weekend on I think, same with Sinister, and PA4 will get cut right down. £18m for Skyfall i'm thinking, and up to £7m on Friday alone. Heretic
Saturday should be even bigger than Friday, so if Skyfall did opening to £7m on Friday, then it'd likely hit £20m for the weekend.
Heretic
Daniel Craig's second outing as a blond James Bond took £15.5 million between its opening last Friday and Sunday night. On the Friday it broke opening day UK box office records, taking £4.9 million, according to Sony Pictures. SchumacherFTW
I keep forgetting we're odd in that respect. I can still see a minimum of £13m by the end of Saturday.
Heretic
I can't remember what DH2 did, but It must've been near £10m on Saturday... DH1 had an OD of £6m, something I could definitely see Skyfall matching.
