fmpro
Most people in the UK would have been expecting to see John Steed and Emma Peel. They would have left the theatre within 30 minutes after realising it was about a bunch of weirdos in tight spandex.

The Dark Alfred
Outstanding opening, it's looking strong for the whole week with the rainy weather forecast.
Heretic
And then the bank holiday. Should be over $40m by Sunday...maybe near $45m by the end of Monday.
CJohn
I hope it doesn't affect American Pie very much.
Heretic
Doubt it. They can both easily co-exist in an empty market. American Pie should be able to do $6m for the 5 day opening. The Dictator will destroy it though 2 weeks later. $10m+ opening possible for that. CJohn
I also want The Dictator to succeed. Isn't Dark Shadows opening in 2 weeks in the UK?
SchumacherFTW
Just got back from contributing to Titanic again. I blubbed like a baby. As did my three other 20 year old friends.
The Dark Alfred
Yes, it's out in two weeks, which also means that AA will lose IMAX.
CJohn
What are you guys expecting for it on OW?
Heretic
I'm not sure about Dark Shadows. Obviously Depp will be a draw. It could do decently with £3-4m, or break out and become a solid hit with £5m+.The Dictator will be massive though I think.
CJohn
Dark Shadows may have no legs then. Interesting.
Heretic
I'm sure it will have decent legs...Quite a busy schedule though coming up.MIB 3 the week after The Dictator and then Prometheus to start the half term holidays.
CJohn
And Snow White.
CJohn
The first weekend of June is going to be crazy in the UK with Snow White and Prometheus.

CJohn
It was supposed to happen in Portugal, but Fox decided to move Prometheus to June 7, one week after Snow White.
Heretic
I guess they both want to take advantage of the weeks holiday. That weekend is also the Queens diamond Jubilee. I think it's 5 day bank holiday weekend, so both films should be huge.
Fullbuster
Focus on Avengers guys, it's too far in the future
