Malaysia cinemas are closed, Singapore announced strict restrictions / capacity cap for theaters.

Spoke to a friend in the theater business here ij Singapore who said Universal Singapore has to cancel its local premiere and screening event for Fast 9 scheduled for next week..

Universal Pictures Singapore officially announced the film will be delayed till 24th June; I expect Taiwan and Malaysia to do the same if not already done..

Malaysia was already June release only.

With closure of Taipei, I think its presumed that F9 won't release in Taiwan.

@TigerPaw 450+ shows on WED in Singapore. I suppose can hope for 18-20K admits and S$200-220K today. Probably S$1.25M weekend?

Haha. This is the GvK thread..

but the showtimes of Shang Chi in Singapore is crazy, like in each cinema, there is a showing every 20-30mins… a bit of an overkill. I don’t think supply of showings is an issue; let’s see the demand. It started on Wed as opposed to Thurs, I think 1.5m is achievable.

Naa this is South East Asia thread. GvK was last one to release all over.

I think shows are quite ok. BW had like 1k shows I think on SAT but back then capacity was limited to 50.
