I am tempted to use the Logan Roy "You are not serious people" gif whenever I see anyone contend that this is somehow going to open as low as The Marvels. The Marvels had extreme levels of toxicity surrounding it for months, it pulled a TV character from their least viewed series as a lead, not to mention the fact that it had no talent promoting or a press tour at all. Captain America also is obviously a much bigger name. I also think people are more hungry for a grounded MCU film now and general fan reception from trailers seems to be alot better than The Marvels. And all of this doesn't even take in to account how the strikes affected final marketing push for The Marvels. 

 

I'm guessing this is a $70-100M opener. I'll also bet Thunderbolts* opens lower but ends up making more money.

From what hey wrote I think they mean in terms of quality rather than tone
