So did Frozen get lucky by being released last year in December in Russia? It wasn't hit too hard by the bad exchange rate right? :o

Frozen benefited from a much more advantageous exchange rate than what we have now, with the current exchange rate it wouldn't have grossed $33m but $17m or something like that

Some personal forecasts (but nothing reliable given the situation is quite unpredictable in terms of exchange rates and the geopolitical situation, anything could happen)

50 Shades of Grey : $16m

The Avengers 2 : $25m

Ant-Man : $10M

Fast & Furious 7 : $20m

Star Wars VII : $15m

Cinderella : $18m

The Good Dinosaur : $13m

Inside Out : $14m

THG4 : $17m

Pretty sad to see so low numbers in a once impressive market...

At this point I seriously doubt TA2 can even reach 25M. With exchange rates gettin worse, it would require to sell more tickets than TH3 and I really don't see that happening.

Well, it's very likely.

TA1 got $43m in 2012 with better exchange rates, however Marvel is a much more famous brand there now : Iron Man 3 grossed more and GOTG  grossed $37m with a lesss advantageous exchange rate and the fact it's a new franchise. TA2 will be very close to $25m, a bit lower or a bit higher but it's clearly my most realistic and predictable prediction among these ones.
