Haven't really done a potential future run for either of these movies in quite a while. Might have to look into what weekends are to come and what movies will open to get a rough idea where they could be headed. 1

IndustriousAngel
worse weather, more admissions - I like Bullet Train seems to have generated a little WOM but from a much too low level, will be running out of screens very soon. still only 2 releases >100k, so a typical summer weekend ... If those numbers hold, Guglhupfgeschwader still leading the franchise (Leberkäsejunkie had 134k admissions on WE#3, Kaiserschmarrndrama 118k)
IndustriousAngel
Saturday update more optimistic overall but there's still only 2 releases 100k; family business much stronger than expected! 1

Looks quite nice overall. Must all be from the south and east, in Lower Saxony east of Bremen there wasn't a drop of rain, but it was colder and cloudier that probably was enough for a little boost. Next weekend probably will look bad again and then hopefully the summer is over and we get some nice fall rain.

WayneBorg
Can Minions 2 reach 4M admissions total in Germany by end of run or is it going to be very hard? Also how many admits did DM3 end up with here? Thanks!

And 4mil will probably be hard for Minions2 but not yet impossible. as we've seen, weather is playing an important role, especially for family releases. Family movies were the ones profiting most from the rainier weather but everything had nice holds or increases, look at Top Gun! Guglhupfgeschwader continues with a strong 3rd weekend and still has good chances at becoming the biggest seller of the series so far. And the Minions really make up for the slow opening … let's see what multiplier they can get in the end! The only slight disappointment were the openers, I was hoping for a bit more from the Crawdads and much more from Jagdsaison. Austria had a really fine summer weekend with 5 releases >10k admissions, topped by Guglhupf which is already at 200k total after 3 weeks! The Crawdads were only #6 here (with similar numbers) while Jagdsaison opened stronger than in Germany which is extremely rare for a non-Bavarian German comedy! Next weekend: We should see a new #1 as domestic comedy Die Känguru-Verschwörung (sequel to the 2020 bestseller adaption Känguru-Chroniken) is opening; since its major market will be northern Germany - as opposed to Guglhupfgeschwader which is blockbustery in the South - both comedies should be able to coexist just fine. Also opening: After Ever Happy - probably a pretty frontloaded release but good for a nice OW. With no big family releases, Minions should stay big, and so we might - if weather permits - see 4 releases >100k! (it's allowed to dream …) 5
IndustriousAngel
First weekend estimates from insidekino have After Ever Happy winning the weekend with about 200k (incl. previews), in line with parts 2 and 3, while Känguru is probably #2 with 110k - much lower than the first one.
