With the exception of the extraordinary Inside Out 2, a weak weekend with only 7 regular releases >10k admissions.

In Austria, very similar bad numbers.

Next weekend: A Quiet Place: Day 1 should see some success, maybe even #2 is possible! The only release to watch atm is IO2, that kind of run is really sensational - let's keep the fingers crossed for another fine hold!

Inside Out 2 3rd weekend prediction is 503k admits, hopefully it can go a little higher but I think the weather will be good this weekend + Germany have a game on saturday

He is only expecting 3.75m finish. That would be disappointing even with 503K 3rd weekend. Will it crash when DM4 opens?

Yeah I don’t fully agree. Animations recently have very good late legs in Germany.
minions 2 did 1.2m after its 6th week, School of magical animals 2 (German family film) did 800k after 6th week, Migration did 700k after 6th week, Elemental 800k. This is because they always manage to stay around for at least 15 weeks or so in the top 10. So even if Inside Out 2 is initially hit hard when DM4 opens it definitely could survive after

Let's see. The Sunday is already predicted to become worse weather-wise. And the next week way colder and very mixed.

The German team plays on Saturday so at least it's a double catastrophe on one day.

By the way I'm surprised that the predictions for AQP: Day One were so low (probably due to the circumstances).

So it started in line with expectations or even a tiny bit better.

It's not easy. Today some curse that it's too hot (but will love the warm evening) but will also curse at the latest on Monday/Tuesday that the weather is so bad 😉.

It stopped raining here, but man last night was insane. Been a while since we had that much water...

Hopefully that motivates people to go to the cinema today ^^ My local cinema seems to have sold about double to triple as many seats as yesterday, so hopefully that's the case everywhere.

Not that bad under the given conditions (thanks mostly to Inside Out 2 which flew past 2mil total and should add a lot of midweek admissions too thanks to school shows), but overall, it's a disaster with only 8 releases >10k admissions. Garfield crossed 1mil total, finally. Family releases overall had good holds.

In Austria, virtually identical numbers (#4 and 5 switched places here) - not good at all. Totals are a bit higher, though - Garfield at 165k after the weekend, Bad Boys 4 exactly at 100k and The Fall Guy will hit that mark before next weekend.

Next weekend: Hit Man and Kinds of Kindness will be the bigger openers; nothing with any hit potential as far as I can see (Kinds of Kindness has more presales at my cinema for what it's worth) - late afternoons and evenings are dominated by football.
