Insurgent otoh was not able to expand from the mediocre part 1. The Boy Next Door did better than expected, good PTA and maybe a slight expansion next weekend? And Austrian dark crime comedy Das ewige Leben had a fine PTA, too, but will probably not expand much from ist few screens since it’s restricted to the southern parts of Germany where you can show it without subtitles or dubbing. Honig im Kopf has now crossed 6.5mil admissions, 7mil look out of reach at the moment but I guess this will be a favourite with the summer open-air shows, so 7mil should be done by September. Next weekend: A lot of releases but two stand out: The latest Schweighöfer comedy, Der Nanny, and Home. With Shaun going strong, Home has it difficult, but Der Nanny has good buzz and might hit 400k admissions or more.
IndustriousAngel
ugh, "Der Nanny" is having serious problems if early numbers are any indication, 400k is out of reach, not even 300k look probable ... well, it's been a FANTASTIC year so far, can't every weekend be a winner. IndustriousAngel
ok, first trend for the weekend is online at insidekino and it's not looking that bad: #1: Der Nanny - 325k admissions #2: Shaun - 225k (-30% ... obviously hurt by "Home" but with holidays starting today the next week should be strong) #3: Home - 175k (not as bad as expected) #4: Cinderella - 125k (-35%) #5: Insurgent - 110k (-30%) #6: Kingsman - 100k (-25%) Cinderella dropping harder than Insurgent is a little surprise. Holdovers: Shaun the Sheep with a beautiful drop - watch him go! Cinderella dropped harder than Insurgent which is really strange, doesn't seem to get good WOM. FF4 managed an increase (probably some school shows) but too late; it will be the first entry in this franchise to miss the million. Next weekend: Fast & Furious 7 will dominate the weekend (750k admissions seem like a decent prediction), of course depending on weather; Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2 is good counter-programming - the first one was a sleeper hit, this one should open higher (maybe as high as 100k) but might drop in total. Plus there's some domestic family stuff so Shaun, Cindy and Home don't get the holiday weekend all to themselves - but I guess Shaun will come out on top again when it comes to children! (btw Shaun is doing fine with adults, too - I was in a 20:30 show last week and there were only grown-ups there, having a good time too!)

Fake
So 5-day opening would be well above the 7-day of F&F6 even with a weak euro. Very impressive.

FF7=insane. Other interesting numbers: "Honig im Kopf" stayed in the Top10 in week 15, nearly 6,7mil admissions by now. Insane, too. And Shaun crossed the million with ease. I had hoped for a better start for BEMH2, 60k is really a bit disdappointing. Sure, this is not a rush movie, but still, a bit better than the first one would have been nice. Next weekend: "Paul Blart, Mall Cop 2" will be the widest opener (still below 500 theaters), so FF7 will stay on top. However, PBMC2 should become #2, I hope for >350k admissions.
