Taruseth
Estimates: Solo: 133k Deadpool 119k IW 23k Solo 133k looks to good, that would be +66% and basically on par with Thursday+Previews (80k+55k) And 80k + 133k would be 213k so to get to 345k over the weekend it would have 132k admissions on Saturday and Sunday. And Deadpool 119k would be +100% and 180k for Thursday and Friday (leaving just 70k for Saturday and Sunday) So they either are incredible overpredicted, Saturday and Sunday will be horrendously bad or they might perform a bit better over the weekend, let's all hope for the later.

Maybe its Friday indeed improved and the Saturday and Sunday numbers are really that horrendous. The family film (Luis und die Aliens) is also down 10k to only 25k now. In the second trend there's only one positive thing and that's that Deadpool 2 is up to 275k (-58%) now.

Not much to comment upon, Solo is simply a desaster and most other releases suffered bad dops, with the exception of family stuff - Jim Knopf is now very near 1,5mil total and should jump that barrier with ease once the open air sessions begin. Next weekend: Two interesting smaller releases with Tully and Hostiles but the new #1 will be Jurassic World 2; while the first one's numbers might be hard to reach (>4mil total !) and reviews seem not too enthusiastic, an opening in the 700k range would still be fine. Weather conditions should be good for the movies (meaning rainier than the last one) so I'm hoping for very good holds, maybe Solo can regain some ground. In Austria, Solo did even worse, it came in #2 - behind Deadpool2's 2nd weekend … you could have won some major bets here but that's really not funny.

Doesn't Jurassic World come out in two weekends from now and not just one? I thought opening day was the 6th of June.

So with €4.4M including Previews that would be $5.07M without Previews €3.78 so $4.36M, which would mean that for the first time in basically forever Deadline etc. didn't counted Previews as part of the weekend, so finally like insidekino etc. do it. And for the revised result they probably added the previews in, which would explain $0.71M of the $4.3M uptick. And it's 23:14 and still 26.5°C outside and it literally hasn't rained a bit since the end of April.

Here in Bavaria it has rained a lot in the last two weeks but overall it was also a very sunny May. Today we have a partial legal holiday, Fronleichnam, but the sun is as always shining. Great for most people, not great for the theaters...but overall the following days are still predicted to become worse. On 29.5.2018 at 11:28 AM, MrGlass2 said: German reviews are out already? el sid
It started to rain here ca. 1-2 hours ago . The estimates for the whole country see:Solo: 103.5k today (actuals last Thursday 80k)DP 2: 96.5k (60k but both Thursday estimates were much too high for DP 2, could be the case today too) A: IW: 15.5k (16k, was always underestimated - last Thursday it had 11.5k in the estimates - and the actuals tomorrow will probably look even better) The most promising new movie, Every Day, had 5k admissions today and Hostiles had – starting in under 100 theaters – 3.5k admissions, pretty good. Reviews are also good or very good for this movie. And the South-West report counted today for Solo 1.449 admissions (last week 1.753) in the selected theaters, an increase for DP2 with 2.008 admissions (1.542), for A: IW 528 which is a strong increase and for Every Day 222. Overall (very) good holds are coming. Already the noon reports with more sunshine looked good (Solo e.g. with a drop of 25% compared to last Thursday). For the whole weekend Mark_G predicts drops of only 15% for Solo, 10% for DP 2 and 25% for A: IW. Edited May 31, 2018 by el sid
