IndustriousAngel
HOBBIT is doing super number, will it go to $100M? I think it will miss it, no holidays and propaly steep drops from hee on. Would be a pleasant surprise if it did make it, though
htall90
I think it will miss it, no holidays and propaly steep drops from hee on. Would be a pleasant surprise if it did make it, though Can't complain thou will do $90 mil no problem.
IndustriousAngel
It should land very close to 100mil US$ (mind, that's Germany+Austria) and if it manages drops <50% it might still reach that mark. This weekend, there's virtually nothing important opening, but then we get Wolf of Wall Street, 47 Ronin, 12YaS, Anchorman2 which will all take small bites out of the Hobbit demo and especially screens - and as soon as the HFR screens are gone (which are usually the biggest), drops will become steeper. Still a great gross no matter what one of the few markets that it has done great business in.

IndustriousAngel
anything over AuJ is great imo Well, it's only US$ - in Euro, it's going to land below AUJ. btw, here's the first trend for the weekend: #1: Medicus - 400k #2: Hobbit2 - 250k #3 will be close between Frozen, SLoWM and FJG! with about 150k each. So, back to everyday business at the BO, and December blockbusters still dominate.

Omni
60%+ drop for Frozen. Not unexpected, but I was hoping for something like -50%.
IndustriousAngel
Final weekend estimates: #1: Medicus - 400k #2: Hobbit2 - 240k #3: FJG! - 190k #4: Frozen - 160k #5: SLoWM - 145k #6 (best opener): PA:TMO - 100k

zackzack
I think it will miss it, no holidays and propaly steep drops from hee on. Would be a pleasant surprise if it did make it, though It is still doing $9M in the weekend and it is about $18M from a $100M milestone. Either way, HOBBIT 2 is another great success for Warner/LotR/Jackson

IndustriousAngel
No, in admissions, it's not close at all - AUJ was at nearly 6.7mil admissions, DoS will propably crawl to 6.0mil max.
