IndustriousAngel
Saturday trend: No big changes, except NonStop a bit higher and 300RoaE a bit lower; still a good hold for 300!
IndustriousAngel
Final weekend trend and now it looks as if 300RoaE will end up with the expected drop below 200k admissions after all; previous estimates were too optimistic! NonStop otoh is opening a bit higher than expected - while I don't believe MH370 was a publicity stunt, the 24h news coverage doesn't hurt either. #1: NonStop - 360k (fine) #2: 300RoaE - 190k (expected) #3: B&T - 175k (wow, what an increase from opening weekend - WOM must be excellent among kids) #4: MrP&S - 150k (nice increase too) #5: P&F - 140k (ok; family movies are having a perfect weekend it seems) #6: Stromberg - 115k #7: GBH - 100k (slight increase with expansion) #7: Vaterfreuden - 100k #9: BookThief - 40k (lower than expected but maybe weekdays with school shows will save it) #10: MM - 35k (deteriorating quickly)

Hernan Gonzalez
Very bad for The Book Thief :-( it did well in other markets and it's in Germany. I was expecting so much more

zackzack
An underwhelming start for 300RoaE; good starts for GBH and B&T. What is the original take back in 2007?
lab276
What is the original take back in 2007?Sold 1m in its first full week. 1.66m total. Edited March 21, 2014 by lab276
IndustriousAngel
What is the original take back in 2007? North of 17mil US$ total in Austria&Germany combined, without 3D. In admissions, it looks worse: In Germany, 300 had more than 1mil admissions in week1. 300RoaE is at 700k after two weeks! The 1.7mil total of 300 are out of reach by now, the question is if it can get to 1mil. Friday trend for Germany's weekend: #1: Non-Stop - 200k admissions #2: NeedforSpeed - 175k #3 - close between kid's movies P&F and B&T (150k each, might be lower with good weather)

IndustriousAngel
Yes, somehow it didn't really catch here. Saturday trend - looking fine for nearly everything: #1: Non-Stop - 225k admissions (about -30%, ok drop for an actioner) #2: NeedforSpeed - 175k #3: B&T - 150k (-25%, better drop than expected) #4: P&F - 150k (nearly flat from opening weekend - nice!) #5: 100j - 125k (wow) #6: 300RoaE - 110k (-45% ... ugh) #7: MrP&S - 100k (-40%, got hit hardest among family films)

DayTripper
Wouldn't that be only a 25% drop for Non-Stop? 320k admissions to 240k?
IndustriousAngel
Yep, very nice drop for an actioner! This might in fact become a bit of a problem for next week's CaptainAmerica2 - might become a close battle for #1!

lab276
How does this compare to CA1 and Thor2's opening days? That's CA2's OW not OD. CA made 197k in its first full week, so this is a significant improvement. But it's quite a bit worse than Thor 2 (681k first full week).
