Neither did I thought about 100k less xD.

 

Nice weekend overall.

TGM: 612.5k

DS2: 200k (-1%) (total 1835k - well, this is easily going to pass 2m)

Mia & Me: 90k

Immenhof: 82.5k

FB3: 75k (+31%) (total 2772.k)

Dog: 60k (+28% / +0% with Previews last weekend)

Bad Guys: 42.5k (+115%!! last weekend was up 11 %) 

The Lost City: 40k (+23%)

Sonic 2: 37.5k (+70%!)

Biene Maja: 37.5k (+57%!)

 

EEAaO 14k (best weekend yet 9% over the opening weekend).

 

Sunday was quite nice overall.

Bad guys is just 64% below its opening weekend.

 

I really hope FB3 can somehow leg it out to 3m (won't happen unless it miraculously has a non existent drop next weekend xD).

Yep next weekend is Pfingsten (Pentecost i believe in english), so Monday is off for pretty much everyone. Weather is forecasted to be better than in the last few days though.

Finally a good weekend - movie-friendly weather and three popular openers! Top Gun Maverick exceeded expectations (by a little) and both domestic girl movies opened to respecxtable numbers. Increases from last weekend in general, but especially family releases did much better this week, look at The Bad Boys and Sonic!

Next weekend: The spot between big openers Top Gun and Jurassic World seemed a bit tight so no big releases; the weather situation is dynamic atm so it's hard to predict its impact on the movies - if it's anywhere as rainy and cool as the last one, we might see some good holds (but no further increases I guess).

I think The Batman and Top Gun 2 are better comps than DS2, but in my opinion the presales are very slow for JW Dominion. Either it is the good weather and people are more spontaneaous or it is fallen restrictions and people aren't buying tickets online anymore.

TLK was incredibly Wednesday heavy (it had it majority of resales for Wednesday like 60% of them), while JWD is more spread out. That leads to those interesting numbers.

If OD actually comes in around 65k that wouldn't be a good sign.

I am really hoping for more, but the OD is kinda low.

I'll look through the data I collected in 2019 to see if there is any comp that might be more useful, but I often only counted the evening before release (so Wednesday at 11pm).
