The official posters and the TV comercials here in Brazil say it's opening on June 21, but there are already many theatres with tickets available for tomorrow, and in some other places (for example the theatre I usually go) you can only buy tickets for June 16 (saturday). I have no idea what's happening, and how the OW is going to be counted. It is in previews starting this weekend 699 theaters. Officially release next weekend.

Looks like down about 10% YTD (through last weekend) in local currency. Will be interesting to see how that develops with some of the blockbusters coming out given the overlap with world cup. The box office always grew in Brazil this century since 2005 so I expect it to grow again this year. 2017 was the weakest year (+4.7%) but it still was a growing year. But yeah, a weak economy and political instability seem to affect the box office since last year.
Fullbuster
Because of E3 I didn't have time for the updated lists but don't worry, I will start foing it again this weekend. There's nothing special this weekend in terms of release anyway, the only thing interesting will be to see the Wordl Cup effect on current movies. Fullbuster
The major release of this summer will be The Incredibles 2 that's for sure, the potential is really high for an animated movie!

I don't know about Adorocinema, there isn't a paywall so it's not even for subscribers or else...Before that you could see admissions week after week from 2010 to these days, precious data...what's the point in doing that? Maybe they thought nobody cared or it's temporary. However another great source, FilmeB, practically hid everything behind a paywall a while ago. The brazilian market becoming bigger should give us access to more data but that's the other way around, it's irritating.

I'm quite surprised to read that, India has a strong, influent movie industry and it started decades ago so I really expected the country to have all sorts of data/numbers. Brazil is pretty much the opposite so it was less surprising in the 90s/2000s.

But finding them is a pain in the ass also different numbers on different sites. So, can't call them accurate too. Fudging was common accurance here. It is rare now but some producers still do it. And by fudging I mean, increasing box office by 10-20%.
