Elemental had a really good OS performance. In the end, it doesn't really matter if it ends at $495m or $500m, it was still a great performance, particularly after Lightyear's disaster performance.

Weekend actuals came in higher than estimated and Elemental had a big Labor Day in the US so the worldwide total is now at $480m!

Yes if they held off until the end of September I’m fairly certain it would have made it to $500m. Oh well, it is still an incredible performance and a true WOM success.

It may still be in theatres but history has shown that as soon as a movie hits free streaming, its legs get brutally cut. It makes sense, why pay for something when you can get it for free? 
 

I’m now convinced that Disney is run by imbeciles.

 

It won’t be on Disney+ in France though - movies can only go onto streaming 17 months after theatrical release 😅 Maybe there’s another $20m for Elemental in France haha

That’s actually a great hold. Elemental keeps surprising- I thought the holds would drop like a stone after going on Disney+ but it actually increased in France, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands this weekend and only dropped 10% in Japan…it might get close to $495m
