Think Kang Dynasty should still do 1B, feeling moreso around a combined 3B for KD+SW but doubt either will scratch Endgame, maybe not even IW. Something like 1.2/1.8 as it currently stands assuming reception rebounds.

I really just do not see how "if Deadpool 3 is great it isn't because of Marvel Studios" tracks as an argument.

Disney needs to stop being cheap on directors and actually hire directors who can manage 200-300 million dollar films.

 

They keep hiring directors who never made a big movie and they end up making divisive films.

Journeyman directors are pretty much a necessity when it comes to these movies. Besides, Sam Raimi has plenty of experience with big budget movies.

Even more than Guardian of Galaxy (that was seen a bit to be its own thing) or Aquaman for the DCEU, Deadpool is not much coded MCU.

I would not imagine Sam Raimi was in the cheap and never made a big movie group.

 

It could be a necessity with how much tv series episode it could have got in terms of process, for many of them you need someone ready to not cast the main actor, respect tone establish in previous entry, be grateful if they accept to only have 2 cameras in some scene, amount of privilege gained because your first MCU movie made almost a billion domestic (try to talk to a Tarantino-Richardson combo about not being in control of how many cameras are rolling when they film there movie or what those cameras will be).

 

We can interpret the comment you are responding too as they need to change those movies for journeyman director to stop to be a necessity, if they conclude that the once very successful established formula-tone-asthmatic MCU stop to be an automatic winner, they will need to find new ones, which could require great director, cinematographer, etc... Once you get a new one, you can think try to replicate it with journeyman.

Got news for ya, Kevs: No one's going to see SECRET WARS (and whatever mystery Kang or Kang-less Part 1 that precedes it) with Hawkeye's daughter, Ms. Marvel, a last-left flopping THOR, Shang-Chi, a still-to-be-decided Captain America, and maybe a snarky Dr. Strange and Spidey... 

 

They need something BIG for these... and I notice Feige doesn't mention the Multiverse, there...

Yes, they'll obviously go to those if they can't get back the OG Avengers.  And I would actually prefer that, to see that Evans, RDJ, at least have the integrity to leave it alone with their very nice ending.  The trades said that Evans had signed up for "something" Marvel a couple years back...but it appears he reneged...or they're just keeping it quiet, of course.

Better than hoping the current line-up, and Young Avengers alone can carry a movie.

Note that they said they won’t resurrect Iron Man. That means we’re likely getting an RDJ variant.
