Anybody trying to deny Zendaya movie star power after this is deluded and the film might even hit 100 million before the Japan date next month we’ve recent R rated films with stars like (Florence Pugh Don’t worry Darling and No hard feelings with jlaw) die out at about 85-87 million so for this to hit 100 million+ would be a huge win

It also surpassed Air, which had Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Viola Davis.

 

On top of that, it had great legs despite a new blockbuster opening every subsequent weekend. Granted, most of them underperformed, but it still held strong.

Don't worry darling also had harry styles and chris pine, I always wonder how much of DWD was just harry styles fans rushing to see it first weekend (it had substantial drops after OW)

Styles was def the draw, the secondary draw was all the behind the scenes drama.

These mid budget r-rated star vehicles seem to fall within similar ranges nowadays. Little to no theatrical profit due to loss of movie going audience but ancillary market and streaming likely brings it to black. So they’ll keep making them.

With a budget of $55 million, the results for Challengers so far really don't look phenomenal.

I don't see a reason to celebrate these numbers like some do here.

I'm just talking about the numbers from the cinemas.

Not a great run there for sure if it does not even make it to 2 times the budget.

Other movies would be called a flop here with these numbers.
