I'd say definitely yes. It's closing the gap of about $7 million by $700,000 every day of Obon... it will be very close at the end of August.

DM4 is in its 4th week in Japan! Why did I think it was the 3rd week? Should be passed soon.

Disney Japan says IO2 is the fastest foreign film to cross 2 billion yen in 2024 in 12 days. 

Some great movies this year already like Dune 2, Furiosa & a big Marvel release would be carrying that mantle earlier in the year if this was 2018.

Is there any way to get top 10 weekend charts? For several years i used ComScore numbers from Korean Film Council web site. But they have no updates for last three weeks.

I think there is a subscription service that can tell you these numbers exactly. Corpse used to share these numbers but he doesn't update anymore.

 

So right now you have to look at the ticket sales tracking websites. Or depend on press releases to know what the numbers actually are.
