jerem4502
Box office France on the three first month of the year : 56,27 millions admissions (+18,6%). Increase of 8,82 millions admissions versus 2013.Every month since the early, were better than 2013. April should be better also with very large film. The first week april is poor unfortunately. Only The Pirate Fairy is good with 58 661 admissions opening day. The others release disappoint. 47 Ronin 18 123 admissions. However, the nest week is a big week for the start of holiday. Releases : Noah, Rio 2 and Divergent and the french film les yeux jaunes du crocodile. Very big box office is hoped. But the best will coming for in the two weeks. A big french comedy will coming : Qu'est ce qu'on a fait au bon dieu ? The previews are very big for several weeks. The film could be the number 1 of the year before Supercondriaque. The same week, release Need for Speed and an other French comedy Babysitting to which small success is possible. 23 april release: Brick Mansions, 96 hours (a french thriller), Une rencontre (a french romance with Sophie Marceau) and the Khumba (animation film) This year will be great for the french cinema.

Fullbuster
I hate French movies most of the time,an industry relying on state subsidies doesn't deserve praise in the first place.A lot of taxpayers pay for subsidizing movies they don't like in the first place,it's insulting for us.You can say whatever you want about Hollywood but they didn't need their nanny state to dominate the world. State government is just as much government as the federal one, and their money comes from taxpayers as well. As for proof, it isn't in any way a secret, but here are some links: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-05-28/hollywood-loses-blockbusters-as-iron-man-finds-subsidy.html http://pando.com/2014/02/20/hollywood-handouts-how-subsidies-to-the-entertainment-industry-are-fleecing-taxpayers/ http://www.economist.com/node/14214821

Well i also don't like french comedies but france has produced some of the greatest films of all time and after all it is the birthplace of cinema! Anyway supercondriaque was better than Les 3 freres but both of them were not good movies. La belle et la bete is so far the best french film of the year!
