Good hold for french hits this week , same for IO2, which surpass Frozen 2. Same hold than last week for D&W . Not too bad hold with the hot weather and the Closing Ceremony last night .

Great Mon/Tue for all the movies , clearly the effect post Olympics . Good hold for everyone , apart of Garfield, specially French movies and IO2. For the matter , Ratatouille and Tarzan will be down next week. DM4 will surpass the 4M mark probably at the beginning of September . D&W will finish around 3,2-3,3M a score between Deadpool 1 and 2. 10M for P'tit Truc this Friday or Saturday. The Count has a good shot to surpass 7M Mark with this pace. He finished leader Mon and Tues. It's the third movie to surpass 6M . In the last 15 years , only 2011 and 2019 have at least 3 6M movies .

 

This Week : Alien Romulus and It Ends With Us . I think 600K admissions for Alien and 150-200K for It Ends . With the Olympics ending and Bank Holiday tomorrow, the holds will be good again .

Montecristo could became the biggest french drama since the intouchables? For what i remember french movies going into 7-8M territory are often comedies.

For me Intouchables is a mix between comedies and Drama . i think la Famille Belier with this 7,4M is the last record for the genre

Yeah you right it's like a dramedy but definitely non a pure comedy too.

 

The success of this movie is really unexpected. I don't live in france but It seems like they would kinda expect something like this (or at least Better than what It was) for the three muskeeters, while that kinda disappointed.

The 3 hours fly by and you're engaged with the story , the last third of the movie is where everything comes together and you're like F*** yeah , with a very satisfying wrapped up

Sadly here in Italy It's not coming on theaters but on prime video. 

 

Probably cause there is a new television versione coming this fall (which Is a co production with France btw).

Finally, we have numbers !!! 98K OD for Alien Romulus , the same as Covenant (98K ; 143K with previews ; OW : 675K ) , less than Prometheus (139K ; 815K OW) . I think 600K-650K OW for me .

 

The WOM is good , specially for a horror movie , with 3,8/5. Much better than Covenant (2,8/5) and Prometheus (3,3/5).
