Punishment
This is what most of us are interested in though Exhibitor Relations Yesterday, Marvel's THE AVENGERS officially became just the 3rd film to bust through the $600M barrier domestically.
Fakhir
If this number holds for Brave it will be the biggest first Tuesday for a Pixar film sans TS3. Edited June 27, 2012 by Fakhir

junkshop36
Decent increases. Hope TA increased to 1m. Would probably be the last time it touches 1m on a weekday.

Letsuseournoggin
Well, inflation has a part in that too.The inflation argument can be applied to everything released now. baumer.. your anti-Pixar comments are not welcome. Letsuseournoggin
Well, inflation has a part in that too. That and most of Pixar's films with the exception of WALL E, TS3, and Rat, I think, were released in winter and May where summer weekdays aren't nearly as strong. keysersoze123
Well, inflation has a part in that too.it is good considering its OW was not higher than Up/TI/Nemo .But only comparable films are Rat, Wall-e and Cars 2. That fact its doing better than Wall-e is good news. Its looking at at least 250M at this point. Based on its 2nd weekend number we can extrapolate better. baumer
The inflation argument can be applied to everything released now. baumer.. your anti-Pixar comments are not welcome. Damn it, congratulate the film! There was no agenda with my comment. I'm just pointing out that it's not overly suprising a film in 2012 is making more than a film in 2008.
